Hello, everyone.
Earlier this year we launched a revamp of the Review Service areas with mixed results. Many of you have let us know what is working and what you would like for the zone. With this changes, I am hoping we are able to address the prevalent concerns the zone has brought.
Without further delay here are some of the most notable changes:
We got rid of the sticky request thread altogether.
This means that everything will happen directly in your thread. Anytime you want a service, all you have to do is to bump your thread with the proper request details, so you don't have to worry about going forth and back. If you are opening a thread just for the community reviews then with the prefix you can let us know straight away.
There will be a 30 FP$ charge to create a thread in the zone.
In order to deter people from just using the review zone as an excuse to leave an advert of their sites, from now on creating a thread will cost 30 FP$ for Communal Reviews. People requesting a Service within their first post are exempt.
Soon enough I am hoping we can incorporate a reward system to make that same FP$ to go back to our members participating in the zone pouring valuable feedback for the thread openers. I will let you know as soon as we get all the details.
Threads will expire 60 days after their last reply.
In order to keep the zone fresh, we are going to be closing and archiving the threads that have had more than two months of inactivity since their last reply. If your thread gets archived you can create a new thread (and pay the 30 FP$ or the amount required by the type of service you want) or contact the Review Director if you want to bring your old thread back (same costs applies).
Starting June 19th, the Review Team members will start archiving old threads, so if you don't want yours to be one fo them, make sure to bump it before this Monday.
I am really excited to be able to announce this second revamp and I am hoping this will make simpler to request, help the zone look neater and overall bring a better experience.
Thank you very much for reading and let me know what you think. 😀
