Competition + Money Prize = No entries

Hi Guys,

Their is a competition on Kreative Flow (A halloween one, check my sig out) 🙂. But the problem is that we are offering a $15 prize plus some more stuff and we haven't got much entries. Maybe we will as the competition is until 31st?.

Also no one seems to take any notice on advertisement forums? Its odd as I see other forums and they having competitions with cash prizes and it seems popular/ok. So what could be up?

The thing you have to consider. 1 ... not many people actually believe they will really win the cash. 2 ... most members here don't have a paypal account, and don't wish to share other personal info in which how the prize will be received.

REAL Cash contests on forums are hit and misses.

But this is a voucher which will be emailed to them? Not real cash.

I'd suggest that you need to make your competition simpler and easier to understand. It should be very clear from reading the first post in that thread, what you need to do to enter.

That post includes an image URL with the contest details. Believe it or not, not everyone who views that thread will even realise that they need to click the image URL in order to read the entry details. Even adding the two words "Click Here" would help.

That's true. I'm trying something simple myself. I am going to host our first ever posting contest, and the winner will get access to our VIP lounge for a month, plus VIP Status. I have specified in the rules which topics are off limits.
