Now i have small issue and i thought i would get some advice from the mybb communnity forum...
Now, i was working on na project within my computers localhost now suddinly when i tried to turn my PC on (it was a secound hand from a pawnbroker shop not abit of wonder)
It will not start no matter what i do, The clips and everything has just fell off it, and the repeairs are uptop $400 on repearis.
However i do have A Nintendo DSi to get internet access with (they dont support Copy and paste and have the most oldest verstion off flash)
So if you where in this situation what would yous do??
I will be getting a brand new computer within 2 weeks till a month...
But theres lots of work to be done on the site and a week/A month is only just deleaying it..
My uncle had given me a Emachine's computer back in 2009, and it broke two months in. It wasn't new, so that was understandable. I asked around then net and most people had suggested that it was the power supply that had broke, and they suggested getting a new one.
This problem you're having may have to do with a part of the computer that just does not work anymore.
If you want something cheap, a Netbook/mini-laptop could do most basic tasks like web browsing, office work, media playback, etc for about 300 dollars or less.
$400 repair, no brainer get a new one. Do you have a vender preference? You will not get a Sony, Samsung or Toshiba for that price but you can get a Dell. Not sure if you can get a custom for that. Regardless, do not waist the money on your repair use it toward a new system.
Far as your site, I thought the comment made above, "no one is waiting for it to release" was a bit rude (par for the course). All and all, it's up to you and how you set your priorities.
$400 put toward a new system in the long run will give you more satisfaction and more comfort in knowing you have a warranty and system that works which means you can focus on your site without concern of hardware failure.
I will decide to just throw the other system out and get a new one, Getting it from a PawnBrokers was a bad move anyway, This time i will be getting one from a trusted dealler.
And where would I be able to find a Dell machine? I think dell is actually a good brand for a good price.
Personally, I wouln't go out and buy a new computer. Most of the hardware should be fine, and easily removable if it's a desktop computer. If it's a laptop, you could probably be able to salvage some of the parts.
If you're looking for a long term computer, you're going to have to drop some money. Protip: pay a little bit more right now for a good quality laptop so that you don't have this problem again.
