I am looking to buy a new computer and i need some help.
I want a laptop but not sure if i will be able to do everything i currently do on my desktop.

I was just wondering if a laptop is good enough for the following:

  • Gaming (Counter-strike mostly)
  • Programming
  • Music
  • MSN

Would the laptop be powerful enough for the following?

Or a Dell XPS, those are awesome. If you are looking for something nice and will last you longer but it's more expensive, then go with a Mac Book. 🙂

Never get a Mac, they suck. My friend had a couple, and every single one broke, or fried something. He is just a guy in college, and he needed a good notebook, but a Mac is not the computer anyone needs, ever! A dell is ok, but I dont like dell, so I will never get one, I like windows more. I dont know what he has now.

Just go with a dell, I've heard there good for somethings.

The XPS suits all of his/her needs listed in this topic. So ya. If you can afford it, get it.

Laptop gaming doesnt work, and when the time comes to upgrade its very hard to get anywhere with upgrading your laptop.

I would suggest getting a desktop.

Whats your price range? That will help more.

Well from now -- 500 to 600 -😉-
I can get good stuff with desktops with that price but not sure laptops.

Maybe not gaming but it depends on the game and the specs of the laptop.

Laptop computers are good for almost everything, but gaming is not something I'd suggest on it.
I've heard good things about the Dell XPS, so that would be a good choice, if you can afford it.

I have a Toshiba Laptop, with a 2GB Memory, and a 250GB Hard Drive, which runs everything I do fine.
