Concerning yourself...

Name 1 thing you're confident about

and 1 thing you're insecure about

For me, I'm confident that I'm artistic in the things I do
and I'm insecure about keeping people happy

I'm confident that I'm a loser.

I'm insecure about the fact that I'm a loser.

😉

I'm confident that I can get to know people easy enough. I'm insecure about whether or not I can get certain jobs to agree to accommodate for my Rheumatoid Arthritis. Heard of way too many businesses that agree to accommodate, and end up not actively making sure that those working with those individuals will not cause issues for the accommodation.

Aw, that's really rough 🙁 I think as more companies switch to remote work, that it might make things easier?

You must be a pro!
There are much better guitarists than me but I can usually deliver the goods regardless of the genre plus I'm a fairly reasonable keyboard player and occasional drummer so it's not hard to find work especially now that I prefer to work in studios rather than live venues.

I'm in the processes of converting a large area in my new home into a professional grade recording studio which means I won't even have to leave home to work plus I'll be hiring it out from extra income.

What does that entail, making a professional grade recording studio?

To start with you need a lot of money, between $150,000 and $200,000 USD in my case. Most studios are built within an existing structure, ideally something double-skinned, made of brick or concrete block with a solid floor. Unless the studio is a long way from other dwellings it needs to be soundproof which means you need to create mass to block airborne sound, around 100dB in my case. Building an airtight room within a room is the way to achieve it, doing away with windows and as many doors as possible as they will always be a weak point.

You need a lot of kit for AC power handling including surge suppressors, noise filters and other stuff plus everything like switches, sockets and lighting etc needs to be surface mounted to avoid creating sound leaks. A digital air con or some form of air conditioning is also pretty essential. The other big consideration is how the room sounds which means employing various kinds of acoustic panelling and bass traps.

I've already have most of the recording equipment required including a 128 channel mixing desk and four studio rack mounts full of various equipment so once the building work is completed I'll be almost ready to go.

Whoa...that's like the price of a small house!

I am confident that I am an intelligent person who can solve most problems without stress or anxiety.

I am insecure about the fact that I have been lazy when it comes to eating right and exercising for the last year and its catching up with me. Need to get that back under control.
