config.php not writable

While installing phpbb in one of my forums , it said "config.php" is not writable . So the installation couldnot proceed . Can someone please tell me what to do ?

Go to your FTP and right click and hit "Change Permissions" Then click the group write part.

Doesn't work ! Still the same error !

EDIT : Got it solved . It's 777 - the permission .

After installing, make sure you change them back.

Yes revert it back when installation is completed.

Oh you are supposed to change it back? What was it originally?

While installing , I made it 777 , but after the installation was done , it changed it back to 644 . 640 gives error for ACP though .

Ah yes i noticed a message right below the one saying to delete the install directory. It said to change it to 644 or 640, 640 messed things up so i went 644. I guess now it is all set! I should remember to do that next time
