Trust me they could, the owner and creator of xenforo Kier Darby, previously worked for vBulletin as the lead developer for 10 years or something, he made a ton of money, so trust me he has enough money in his bank to buy IPB if he wanted to.

Lol. I could see an official warning popping up in my ACP.
"You are running an illegal script. You are required to download this xenForo conversion and apply it to your board or convert to a different software. If you are found using the IPB software after January 1, 2012 legal action will be taken against you."

It's true though, if xenForo did buy IPB that's what they would likely do, they aren't going to run two completely different softwares that are competing with each other, are they? 😛
