Your Forum Review
First Impressions & Appearance - (Out of 20)
The first nice thing I noticed was the rotating banner system. I thought that was a really neat thing, because it sort of switched things up. I also liked the fact you have a favicon. Those really help in browsers as far as aesthetics go. There are two more things I enjoy on your skin. One is that the skin is fluid. I use a large monitor, so I enjoy it when skins actually adjust. Finally, I like that your posts aren’t so overstretched with useless side information. They’re very tight and more display on a page, which is good.
Now, onto the negative. The color scheme, notably on the navbar, is, well, ugly. Light blue, then black, then white simply doesn’t go well together. Plus, since those stripes on your navbar are also your background, it makes your forum look like there’s a hole in it. Everything just contrasts, which isn’t good.

Site Layout - (Out of 20)
I really like the premise of your forum. It’s very original, and inspiring and useful to people. In that essence, you’ve got a solid foundation. I’m definitely a fan of your layout. You don’t have but like one off-topic forum, which is different than most specialized forums like yours. Trust me, that’s a good thing, not a bad thing. Also, while you do have a lot of cancer-related forums, you don’t have TOO many, and so you should be fine. A few of the specific cancer forums lack any activity though. The only main complain I have is there’s no apparent way to hide that AJAX chat, and those things drive me nuts. They take up space, and I find them more annoying than fun.

Statistics and Activity - (Out of 20)
313 posts for a month is OK, but not great. However, as you mentioned, your forum isn’t your “typical” forum. Honestly, I think it’s too early to guage your performance. It’s harder to review newer forums, because they’re still developing. You’ve only been open a month or so. It’s simply too early to tell what’s going to happen, and it wouldn’t be fair to give you a grade based on a month. I’ll just give you the benefit of the doubt now, next time you request a review, it may be easier. I’d also like to point out the quality of posts on your forum is VERY good, some of the survivor stories are amazing and inspiring, and that’s a quality not many forums have.

Staff Moderation - (Out of 20)
You’re not extremely overstaffed. However, 2 admins and a mod seems a bit much for a forum like yours. 2 admins is fine, but why the mod? It just seems like a bit much. Pretty much all your posts are made by staff, which can be a turn-off for new members. All your staff seem active, though. They also seem to post quite a bit, so they’re fine in that respect. I just wouldn’t hire anymore until your activity really picks up.

Spelling/Grammar & Professionalism - (Out of 20)
I did notice the following things:
“Have you got any feedback, tips or suggestions regarding our board? Please let us know so we can keep on growing!” should be, “Have you got any feedback, tips or suggestions regarding our board? Please let us know, so we can keep on growing!”
“A place for all new people to introduce theirselves. Everyone will receive a warm welcome in here!” has a run-on sentence. “This is a place for all new people to introduce themselves. Everyone will receive a warm welcome in here!” would be better. Also, “theirselves” is not a word.
There are a few more errors, but they are in a similar manner as the ones above. All in all though, it was pretty good.
