Has anyone here had trouble with theyre forum going down regulary? For me and my forum if its not one thing its something else. Now im starting to get really peeved!! Its only happened recently since i switched from Invisionfree.

A couple of weeks ago bittraffic closed my co admins account because Headbanger Haven was crashing there system and it was to big. Managed to get 2HostU as my new host.

Now its the DNS! I think. I keep getting "Address Not Found"

I seriously thinking about closing it. But after 7 years of hard work i dont think i can bring myself to do it!

When a host is giving me constant downtime I will move to a different host then ask for a refund for my remaining time left on the host that I left.

There are many hosts out there that have good uptime. You get what you pay for. If you are with a free host and you are not paying anything, you can't expect top class uptime.

We use HawkHost to host this forum and we have no problems with slowness, downtime or exceeding CPU/memory limits or other limits.

Ive found out today that my co admin is trying to sort out a permanent URL

Well, I can say that http://www.fi.st/ has great post2host services, with plans as low as 5 posts iirc. I'm using them for my free domain guide site and my personal sites without any trouble at all.

Have you thought of finding forum sponsors? Some new sites may pay $20 towards paid hosting for your site in exchange for you calling them a "sponsor" and putting links to their sites up, making a topic about their site, ect.

Yes im 21 but my bank wouldnt give me a credit card unless i was earning over £500 a month for 6 months... Now i am actually earning over £600 a month, they wont give me one now because at the end of August im losing my job and im not sure if my agency can get me a new one straight away :/

I should really change banks but i have major dyscalcula and havent got a clue when it comes to figures and finances

Just looked up dyscalcuia on wikipedia, that sounds like a horrible thing to have, I'm sorry to hear that and I understand now 🙁
