Content marketing

Content is a major factor for ranking your website in search engines. Google prefers a high quality unique content rather than duplicate and low contents used for promoting products or services.

I'm a huge believer in high quality site content, otherwise what is the purpose of your site? But, as much as I believe that site content is the key to keeping your visitors coming back for more, you really need marketing for one good reason. How else will you let others know about your site? You can't rely on SEO to bring visitors to your site as the algorithms change so much, so you need forum marketing, advertising, promotions (contests, imprinted items, coupons, etc) as well as good old fashioned networking to get those people to come to your site door for the first time. The content is there to keep them coming back.

I got you and i totally agree with your points and facts ... quality does matter and this what major search engines rely upon.

Content isn't the king most people think it is... Content is good but its the "usefulness" of content that is king. Your content needs to useful. If it is not useful, its nothing at all. So when writing content, you should focus on helping to solve problems in the niche, providing new knowledge for the niche and being fresh and unique about it because who wants to see a solution or answer they have already seen elsewhere before?

Shawn i agree with you content does't matter what matter is quality! Thanks for your kind reply. 🙂

Unless you want to create a quick niche website, that ranks quickly in Google, throws you a couple quick dollars then quality content doesn't matter. But if you are interested in building longevity and you want to build a readership, then you might want to focus your attention on not only the amount of content you are creating but the quality as well.

Like Shawn says,You want to be the one to offer a solution to people so that they continue to come back to you. Content is king, and marketing is definitely queen.

The internet is nothing more than content, so there is no way to get around the fact that you need content to build a successful website. And without marketing, who will know that you exist?
