Contest idea

Well I need a contest idea its not now but on a forum i'm working on once it gets more activity I might have a contest and this will be the prize for the winner..

1 IPB license ($150 worth)

Any ideas for a contest for such a prize? 😱

What IPB Version is it?

Either a referral contest or a posting contest would be nice. But make sure you have a mark (20 referral or 300 posts).

For instance, if the user go higher than the mark, you are eligible to get the prize. If the user go lower than the mark before the deadline, they aren't eligible for the prize.

Here's my idea. Have a long running event, with several minor events which would make up the main event. Have several contests and let winners receive a point for each time winning an event. The user at the end of the event with the most points wins.

Yes. 🙂 But you can hold different events then what I have in mind. And I was suggesting it to you for your board. It would make your contest run longer and find out who really wants it.

You could possibly have a contest with the best webmastering guide. I don't think just a generic posting competition would be good as that would definitely lead to spamming and useless posts.

:lol: thats what I thought about the posting competition all my friends on msn said posting I was like no I don't want spam. 😛

This is gonna take awhile to think of a contest.. 😕

Everyone is not graphic designer but I agree you should have different stages.

User's have to get 250/500 posts before the deadline, and all the user's that have got the posts, go into a draw and the winner is announced that way. Doing a normal posting competition may get you a lot of spam and useless posts but this would reduce it slightly.
