Contest Ideas Please

As my forum isnt really popular and there isnt much going on, I want to add a few contests so that I could attract more members. I'm not sure what kind of contests I could do and there prizes?

Can someone give me a few ideas that they use on there forum, and what prizes they give?

Well, i always give out FREE Wii Points on my forum. Gets pricey, but it's great to give back to the memebers. I doubt you'd benefit from that.

But, i don't know any real great contests. My idea, just happens to work for my forum, cause it's members are Wii owners

As its an all round forum, you need something thats going to benifit you and them, perhaps do a capture the flag or simular. Basiclly i find that real prizes rather than cash get more interest.

Perhaps have a single day event like the one i had at http://ultimateadverts.info which turned out to be a great succsess.

But the main thing is that most people join competitions if they think they have a chance of winning something so make sure you offer runner up prizes.
