Welcome to Forum Promotion's Contests & Events area! Here you will find various events and contests created by the staff team for you to enjoy. This includes regular events which have been on-going, such as Community of the Month, and new random events! So keep your eyes open for anything new in this section. Prizes may range from posting packages, advertising spots, graphics and more.
This thread contains a summary of regular events/contests' guidelines and information. Please always refer to the first post of each event's thread for a detailed explanation on the system. It is possible that there are differences for each event which are not covered here.
Calendar of Events
Many of our events are held monthly, on a recurring basis. Here's a short list of what we run here at FP, and a brief breakdown of how these contests/events work!

| Community of the Month | Poll runs all month long | Community of the Month (CotM) is a poll where members can vote for their favorite sites to be "Community of the Month". The sites are gathered from Directory new listings, updates and Your Website News forum threads for the previous month. Vote for 5 sites and the top one will be the winner! |
| 250x250 Ad Auction | Ends the 30th/31st of the Month | Use your FP$ to bid on an ad spot on the index page of FP. |
| The Monthly Spotlight | Random Times | Our Monthly Spotlight includes a forum/blog/website and is selected by the Community Team. Sometimes a thread is dedicated to a site, but recently the spotlight is listed in the FP Bulletin News thread. |
Community of the Month
- Always read the first post of a voting thread. It contains rules about voting, list of eligible or non-eligible participants, and prizes.
- You must have made at least 15 posts on FP within the past three months to vote in CoTM.
- For a site to be accepted, its owner (or an administrator) must be a member of the Forum Promotion community.
- All sites submitted must follow FP's acceptable content policy.
- When a site wins CoTM, it cannot be submitted again by any member, for another six months.
- If you have issues or suggestions, you can send a message to @Katrina or post your suggestion at Community Matters section.
Auctions
- Always read the first post of an auction thread. It contains rules about that bidding, especially open period and bid details.
- You must have the amount of cash you are bidding. If you do not have the amount you write, the bid will be ignored.
- Your bid must be at least 10 FP$ higher than the previous bid.
- We reserve the right to remove bids for any reasons we deem necessary.
- Auctions tend to have a set time length which will be stated in the first post of each thread. They may be opened longer or shorter for special items.
- Items offered at auctions include, but not limited to, advertising slots at forum pages and blog, user account upgrades, services bundle, and custom items.
- Number of spots which can be won may vary from one auction to another.
- If you want to suggest a particular auction to be added, please let us know your suggestion in the Community Matters section.
