Hello FP!

As a thank you for contributing to the FP Blog, you can expect to be rewarded handsomely. For your contribution you can expect:
  • 500FP$ per submission that is accepted and published on the FP Blog
  • 1x backlink in way of in-article citation or author bio to your project or relevant authorities source (implementation at MTL's discretion)
  • Author Bio including personal links (Social Media, Portfolio of Work and Personal Website/Forum/Blog)
  • Expert guidance and support in writing your piece through research through to SEO/Meta optimisation.
  • Access to the "FP Blogging Handbook" containing advice and tips for writing not just here at FP, but generally across blogs
  • 50FP$ for submissions received that are not accepted for publishing on the FP Blog

Why Write for Forum Promotion?

In addition to the rewards offered, you may be asking - Why should I write for Forum Promotion? Aside payment, there are many different types of personal reward and reasons to contribute. Including:

What Should I Write About?

Content published to the FP Blog is led and controlled by the Marketing Team here at FP and all articles are in-line with our Marketing Mission Statement:

"to improve levels of user engagement, retention and acquisition, through multi-channel marketing, platform disruption and exposure"

Put less formally, we're after content that helps keep users here at FP engaged with fresh content and resources to take-away and utilise on their own sites, to draw new users to the site, and increase exposure of FP through SEO and Organic Traffic - that is, users finding us through Google. All content published will be edited to help match this alignment and will be SEO-optimised to rank highly on Google.

Some potential topic ideas include but are not limited to:
  • Forum Webmaster Tips
  • Blog Webmaster Tips
  • Podcast Founder Tips
  • YouTuber Tips
  • Social Media Marketing
  • Search Engine Optimisation
  • "How To" Guides & Tutorials
  • Monetisation & Webmaster Finance
  • Graphics & Creative
  • Member Interviews, Member Milestones and 'Best Practices'
These are just to name a few. If you have an idea for an article for the blog, do reach out and discuss it with us for consideration. The more unique the topic, the more interesting it could be!


How Do I Submit My Article?

If you're keen to contribute - whether you have a topic yet or not - then you can get your submission started today! Simply start a Conversation with me, @Cumulus, with the Subject of "Blog Contribution" or similar, and I'll be in touch! Typically the process goes as follows:
  1. You register your interest in a Conversation with me, @Cumulus
  2. You propose a topic for approval by myself, or we discuss your interests and work on a topic together
  3. You work on and then submit your article (>300 words) to me for review
  4. Your article will be reviewed, detailed feedback written and then a publishing date confirmed (or article sent back to you as a draft with some feedback)
Remember, you get 50FP$ just for the article submission!


What are the Requirements?

When you register your interest to us as detailed above, and we've agreed a topic for your article, you will receive our "FP Blogging Handbook" detailing some further information about style, format and layout for your article submission. To summarise though we ask:
  • The article submitted is unique to FP and not published elsewhere. (No plagiarised content will be accepted)
  • The article has >300 words
  • The article reads fluently and is written in Standard English - this includes a decent level of spelling, punctuation and grammar. (Though we will proofread and amend as necessary)

We need people to write good information and helpful blogs 🙂 Just one simple question since I might have someone who's interested however he's after cash payment rather than FP$

The future option is to have cash payment maybe....

Cash Payment is not an option in our current sights or development timeline. A lot of newspaper and article content is frequently written by Guest Contributors who are not financially recuperated for their work, and instead use publication as an opportunity to grow their portfolio, experience and bylines to apply for Staff Writer positions or Editor positions so this is a similar format to that we are using 🙂

I think we have an excellent range of perks for contributions and am keen to hear feedback on how else we might incentivise contributing!

I’m going to write an article on what not to do when writing articles with real examples.
 
@Cumulus I already have an account on the blog, however, I lack the permissions to publish directly. Please could you ask @Malcolm to update my WP Permissions.

The OP has instructions on how he wants the blogs to be submitted and it doesn't say that anyone can publish directly.

Hi Alexander, again, thanks for your interest in the blog! As mentioned via PM there is certain criteria to submit articles and all must go through myself or a Marketing Team colleauge prior to publishing.

Please do not try and circumnavigate this continously by tagging others. Once you are able to contribute, I'd be happy to accept your pieces. 🙂

The real example will be the article itself.
 
If a Article gets rejected, can the rejected article be used elsewhere or does it remain the property of Forum Promotion?

Surely as the author of the article you can post it anywhere.

I personally wouldn't agree to terms that made it FP property after submission.

No articles are property of Forum Promotion anyway. We ask that when you submit a piece and if accepted that you only submit it to the FP Blog and not submit or publish elsewhere but you still own the content at all times.

Once you have your FP$ you can convert or spend onwards as you wish - I believe some people offer conversions in the marketplace.
