I've used DirectAdmin's and cPanel's (actually this would be WHM) Admin-level accounts. I like how DirectAdmin's admin-level account is a lot more like its user-level account, whereas I had to basically learn WHM as if it's new. Also (from a host's standpoint), DirectAdmin is more cost-efficient, because it's cheaper in the long run, and also because it requires much less space on the server's hard drive, so you can basically host a few more people.
Im using Plesk on my vps and its the by far the best Ive used. Its simple to use and is very lightweight on resources. My host offers it at a very inexpensive rate also. $3 a month for 10 domains, $6 for 30 Domains and $8 for unlimited domains.
Recently I had to build a website for someone and he used Lunarpages hosting. Apparently they have their own custom "cPanel" wannabe clone now and it SUCKS! Everything is mixed up, they have their own ads everywhere, and you can't even upload & extract zipped files.
It may be that I'm just used to cPanel but I can't stand to work using any other CP. Just a pet peeve of mine.
