Convincing people that something is not what it actually is.

So, have any of you convinced others or know people who has convinced others, that what they are looking at or hearing about is actually something other than what it is.

So, my father has convinced my gullible older sister, that the hard carboard base to some packaging, is from 4,000 years ago, from Mezopatamia. It has been almost an hour, and she hasn't figured it out yet that it is just carboard packaging for inside a box.
 
I think it never worked for me. I never managed to convince anyone about anything. They listened to me for a while but they get back to what they do. So I don't waste my energy. It's funny that some people believe on things based on authority.
 
Yes, I took on this skill from my father. We are both very good at keeping a straight face while we make up an absolute fib about something. It can make for some pretty good laughs, but we dont let a joke or sarcasm go on for too long.
 
I'm usually the gullible one on the receiving end of those types of things! :clown:
