Been thinking about this a little bit lately since I'm going to an event Wednesday night for a few hours that encourages cosplay. Basically dressing like your favorite character from your favorite video games, TV shows, anime, manga, movies, or even books! I'm wanting to dress up this year, even though I'm only going for a few hours because I work the next morning, so I've been looking at different ideas.

Have you ever done any cosplaying before? Which characters have you dressed up as? Pictures welcome too, of course, if you're comfortable sharing!

(And of course, I will welcome suggestions as well as long as they're simple since I waited till basically the last possible minute I have to get ready for this lol, but no pressure there. I already have a list of ideas I've been writing down!)

I saw some really awesome ones at the sci fi convention I went to last weekend. I didn't take any photos though.

I cosplayed once! I wish I still had images of my cosplay, I went to a con dressed up as the Youngster from Generation 1 of Pokemon who says "Hi! I like shorts! They're comfy and easy to wear!" My wife made a sign that looked identical to the textbox from Gen 1 and I held it while walking around. I got a few compliments on it lol.
