Cover songs that are a disgrace to the original?

List some cover songs that are a disgrace to the original song :great: . Madonnas cover of Don McLean's song american pie was terrible and blurred the original meaning of the song (It was written as a homage to buddy holly, the big bopper and ritchie valens who died in a plane crash in the 50's).

AxCx (gotta call them that on here) has a cover of Hungry Hungry Hippos that some might call a disgrace, not sure which side I'm on though.

I have to agree with the American Pie. The original is amazing, the cover was not. I also have to add any cover song by Rascal Flatts, and anytime a song by the Eagles is covered. Pretty much guaranteed to suck.
