Name on the Board Roe

Additional Comments* The CP Rocks forum is only a couple months old. It can also be accessed through the Official Chris Pierson Fan Site http://www.chrispierson.org As Chris Pierson's tour progress's more interest will be generated. The forum will grow along with Chris's exposure. As a music fan I am aware it takes time to build a fan base. It's all about persistence and patience. People can discuss their favorite bands on my forum as well.

Altogether your forum is average and no offense but really can't last very long because not everyone is a lover of Chris Pierson. On looks, your forum really isn't that bad although you could minimize some of the images. If you really want people to notice, see if you can put in a Favicon. Your forum is a little mixed up and could be arranged a little bit better but it really isn't that bad. The style is very plain and for your kind of forum it would seem nice if you had a darker style.

If you honestly want to keep your forum running, I think you should do it through affiliates through band discussion forums like yours that are also small instead of advertising forums.

Obviously a Band's forum is never going to have as many members as an Advertising forum (unless maybe it belongs to Metallica or The Beatles). The fact is that if everyone had a advertising forum, then there would be very little to advertise.

A similar point to the one you made could be argued against any forum which focuses on any one subject - including music, gaming, sports, etc. 😉

I feel, like Roe said, the forum will grow as more people find out about Chris Pierson. It's the same with anything like this - it just takes time 🙂
I think that she should continue to advertise through advertising forums and band/music forums. Why limit yourself to one medium? In order to gain more members, the forum needs maximum exposure, right? And there's always the possibility that she'll run into a potential member on one of these kinds of forums. I'm an excellent example of this - I first ran into Roe on another advertising forum a month or so ago and, up until that point, I'd never even heard of Chris Pierson. But, being the music fan that I am, I decided to have a listen to his stuff and I liked it. I bought his EP and joined the forum (and I've also reviewed and interviewed the man himself now). Even though most of this has very little to do with the forum itself, I felt I should say it.

carsonk - please don't take any offense to what I've just said. I certainly didn't intend any, but I can understand if it looks like I've bit your head or something!

Anyway, as for the forum...

Roe - at these early stages, I would condense the boards down and perhaps have sub-boards. That way it makes the overall forum look busier and people are more likely to join a forum which looks active.
If you like this idea and would like some help with this, then I would be happy to help.
As you get more members, then you could expand the board out to what it looks like now.

The colour scheme works fine. I like that it's simple and easy on the eye. So many 'rock' boards go for the dark look and I just don't think you need to. Chris' music isn't really very dark, so the forum doesn't need a black background with skulls on 😉

Well, I've rambled on enough for one post...

Thanks for you input carsonk 🙂 I know the board is rather plain/simple, but Chris likes things to look "clean" as he puts it. I have to disagree though about it not lasting long. It takes a lot of hard work and patience to start promoting a band from the beginning. It's all about spreading the word, and advertising. I am trying to find forums that are music oriented, there just isn't a whole lot there, or I haven't run into them yet, but the search continues LOL In the meantime, I appreciate being to able to advertise here 🙂
