Since you only get cpanel with one domain when registering at hostgator, do you guys just use that main domain, and then use add on domains with that one whenever you register more domains, or do you, lets say, re-register a new account at hostgator with your new domain, and have multiple accounts, one for each registered domain?

Or just use the one account and use add on domains?

Do you understand what I'm trying to say?

I've been confused the past few hours.

I registered at hostgator with scififiles and then today purchased another domain that I pointed to the same servers.

Most cpanel accounts have the options of subdomains and you point the new domain name at the newly created sub-domain and it acts like a normal website

Maybe if I would be a millionaire and have too much money to spare 😕

Just use add-on domains 😛 it will act just like a normal website.

Ok guys, well, I learned alot in a short amount of time, it was just a pain trying to point the name servers to the correct location. 😎

Well its really simple if you would like to use many other domain on your hosting account than just use addon domain. A addon domain points to a folder on your hosting account for example exampledomain.com points to the directory public_html/example. A parked domain point JUST to the public_html directory.

Hope it helps you!

Your host will provide you nameserver in your welcome email but it might be something like ns1.hostgator.com and ns2.hostgator.com if you are unsure just open up a new support ticket!
