All right...so I have Google Lens on my phone and never even used it until I got home after Christmas with my dad and found that I could check the value of some of the jewelry he sent home with me using that app. It searches for similar images of the items and gives results for sites like ebay, etsy, auction houses, etc...
Well, when I sewed the roman shades a few months back, I though it was clever to use my husband's grandfather's rings as sort of hooks. When I pulled on the string to raise the blind, I have a cleat at the bottom of the window and I used a ring to just hook it onto the cleat so the shade stayed raised. I guess I had no idea of the value of the rings because we were told they were junk jewelry and I came to discover that one is a few hundred dollars. Amazing! My husband is laughing at me now. I need to go find a replacement ring for a couple of the windows LOL
