So, what are your thoughts on Craigslist? Should more regulations be placed on craigslist sekks? What about bootlegs sold on craigslist? Share your opinions on this very sensitive matter.

Craigslist serves more as lulz for me than anything else. It's funny to look up how many meth heads live in your area. Just search tina under personals 😛.

To sort of bump this topic; people on craigslist are really stupid. I mean god damn, I see people selling dvds "of any tv show or movie", even shows not released on DVD. Who the hell still buys from bootleggers?

Best of Craigslist gives me some lols. Whoever (knowingly) still buys bootlegs deserves to get ripped off.

Craigslist is pretty awesome. Ive sold cars and stuff I dont need anymore through that site. I bought a refrigerator and my cockatiels (birds) from people who put an ads on craigslist recently.

The great thing about craigslist is that it doesnt have that many restrictions and you can put an ad for pretty much anything imaginable on there. Its up to the person responding to the ad to be cautious, ask lots of questions and take steps to avoid getting screwed over.

Ahah agreed. 😛

But usually, it's the same exact thing as say a yard sale or something. As long as you don't send people money via paypal/credit then it's most likely legit.

Craigslist is good for looking for a job, or looking to hire someone for a job since companies are starting to use Craigslist because it is cheaper then putting an advertisement in the Newspaper, and other job listing services like monster.com.

I know people who sold old TVs to other people who use Craigslist instead of selling it to a pawn shop.

I buy tons of stuff on craigslist, I just make sure the person is legit, ask questions ETC talk to them on the phone, then we meet in a public area, library, ETC.

CL is great. I have sold a lot of stuff I didnt want on there and have bought numerous things.

Craigslist is like a giant flea market on the internet. Of course you are going to have people who use it for nefarious reason's and there's no way to police it 100%. I think for the most part people know what their getting with certain ads. So, you either take it down or leave it alone. My vote is leave it alone.

I thought of browsing craigslist lately and then remembered this topic. Anyone else want to share their thoughts?

Some people I know used Craigslist in the past for some computers and stuff. I myself, haven't even seen the website yet. 😛

We have the same sort of thing in the UK it is called GumTree
I sold my freezer on Gumtree was free to advertise and my freezer went with 24 hours of posting it which was great for me

It's one of the greatest Web 2.0 sites.

Craigslist is a good place to sell stuff or buy stuff.
I have sold and traded lots of Android and Windows Phones i've owned with others.

But to be honest, the personals sections craigslist offers really give the site a trashy rep in my opinion

I have mostly used Craigslist to do job search, as the volunteer work that I do..... that is my main task. I think it is a great way to find more unique jobs that other sites may not have.
I have been curious and did peek at the M 4 M once and there were lot's of dirty ugly guys on there XD
I think people themselves just need to be very careful.
