Tell us about some of the crazy substitute teachers you had while in school?
I used to be substitute teacher and one of the other ones was a drunk. During the passing periods (6 minutes) he would go to an outside door that didn't have an intercom/camera at the gymnasium, put a pencil to wedge it open, go to his car and drink then come back in.
I don't recall having any crazy substitutes. I remember always liking substitutes because they usually require less work compared to our regular teachers. I remember also liking that they were more open to helping with the work. One substitute I remember loving have her because she would work through math problems with me without pressuring me to come up with the answers myself. Coincidentally I found myself understanding how to solve problems more by watching her answer previous problems for me.
I tried substitute teaching for a while after I retired from Family Video. It was a fine gig, but the unruly children were a bit too much for an old man to handle.
