Try to avoid programs like Artisteer.
They make your job easy, but you would never learn the actual programming.

Artisteer is rather pricey as well. There is no substitute for coding from scratch.

Artisteer looks like a good program for someone who just want a template, and be able to do some small tweaks to the template within Artisteer, but I think if you want to make a very unique template which is very flashy, and original looking like http://www.beautyoftheweb.com/ . Coding your own template is definitely the way to go.

I agree it reminds me of a back-end web developers design tool. Artisteer kind of reminds me of Headway theme for Wordpress which is a drag and drop theme.

But, Artisteer works on Windows, and Mac instead of needing to login to Squarespace, or WordPress, and you can save the template as a HTML template, Wordpress Theme, Joomla, phpdotnuke, and Drupal template.
