Creating a Social Networking script

Yes, I have begun writting down and scratching ideas. I want to create a person to person to content social network. (Linked in is person to person) (blogs are person to content) ect.
 
Person to Person to Content is pretty much phpbb forum with the blog modification and without the forum. Good luck with it. 🙂

Well I have just found a couple of books on building the site using Ruby on Rails. So I will begin next week and keep up to date.
 
Hello, Im Currently trying to create a free forum Software, Ill tell you how I started out.
Well Hours of studying will help only a little, the best thing to do is to find a software like the one your planing on creating, and study on that software, then I recomened studying at W3Schools

But Social Networking features have wayy more differences and other things that forums do. They are practically coded differently. Thanks though.

Yea, I know, im just saying you should get use to a network simare to the one you plan on creating, If you want, I could help you out for free.

I have used it before though. I have a forum software in building. If you join, you could gain knowledge on how to build a social networking script.
 
They wont be able to make anything with out knowledge, they suggest hiring a development team that wants to create one as well. It needs a tricky name and they suggest applying PHP as it goes hand in hand with MySQL.
 
Good luck with making a social network software. I am making one aswell as you can see here. I hope you're successful in making one it isn't easy, and it takes alot of time.

Edit: To point out if you're doing it on your own it could take a year or more. (Determines how much you work on it. 😛)
 
You need a lot of skill with PHP and maybe some Javascript (depends).

You are going to also have to invest a bit of money into this new project of yours. I do wish you the best of luck with this project and can't wait to see what you produce.
