Well, most of the topics are created by me on my forum. At the moment I'll try to generate as many content as possible in hope of activating my members. I'll see how far I can get with this method. Though, currently I'm at the edge of giving up. 🙂
I started around 3 weeks ago with my new forum and I have made nearly all topics apart from just a small amount.
I know it's a said thing that in time when the board receives more memebers then it gets a little easier. I think the hardest part is the first 3 months.
Mind you, it depends really on if you have any help with a moderator and friends that you bring to the forum. This forum I have now it's just me and a member joined asking to help out as a mod but haven't seen any activity from him since last Monday. That's not a good thing.
I probably would have been better off starting off on a free board such as phpbb and saving a whole load of money on IPB in my case.
I think I've made a good majority on my forum but then I consider my forum to still be kind of new. There are several topics that I didn't start but I try my best to participate in it.
I've created around 5,700 threads on my forum and it has nearly 46,000 threads in total. Which means I have created around 12% of the threads there. I think it's great that we have so many great discussion topics submitted by so many different people.
