So we know of some different ways to advertise our sites online, but what about offline? What are some ways someone owning a website could adverse their websites in public? Do you currently do anything like this? If you have, did you have success?

A big forum that I used to be on sent out coffee mugs and t-shirts, and I thought that was pretty cool! Other than that, I've been thinking about the same question, and I haven't really come up with anything cool yet. I'm looking forward to seeing what others have to say. 🙂

Wow name that forum I need a nice t-shire and a mug! 😉 😉

I have worn shirts advertising stuff, and if enough people see that shirt, and often enough, they usually wonder about it and look up the site that the shirt is advertising. It is fun. 🙂

Other then that, I have done magnets and placed them at various stores and restaurants, and have gotten a few people to sign up from that.

This is an interesting question but I guess it depends on your niche. If you have a promotion forum, it will probably be hard to find webmasters offline. However if you own a gaming forum, then you are more likely to to find a gamer. I think wearing T-shirts and using advertisement accessories could work but only if you niche is popular within your local area. A promotion/admin forum is less likely to work than a gaming forum in my opinion.
