Not really my style and it feels on the thin border between old and innovative. The color used for the navigation doesn't really go with the contrasting red and blue, but it's not bad.

I like everything beneath the navigation though 🙂

Can I ask what font is used for the Creative Commons part?

You can make all the text without using images. 😉 And you can make everything besides the text one image.

CSS5 allows for drop shadows like on the menu items.
