To be honest, it's a little embarrassing to post this, I've been having a little bit of trouble financially, and am trying my best not to take out a loan or apply for credit cards. I have had two expensive events happen within the same week before Christmas. First, my car had went off road into a field and I am thankful that I am still alive. I was on an unfamiliar road, late at night, while it was foggy. The speed limit was 55, and there were signs for curves. I slowed down and took a few ok and thought that was it, well think someone had hit the sign where I was at, because I had flew off the road, jumped a ditch, and landed 200-300 yards away from the road. It was one of the scariest moments of my life. Luckily, I know a guy that I helped build a car hauler/flatbed trailer from scratch. I busted my radiator, condenser, cooling fan, and a fog light, other than that, minor body damage. Luckily, I was able to fix all that myself and saved 3-4 times the amount that I would have paid if I took it to a mechanic. I was thankful for all of the help and support I had received, and 2 officers pulled over and tried to help, joked around, and cheered me up. Only to think that was the last bad event of 2015.
Two days later I was going down the interstate. A police officer was flying down the interstate, no lights or sirens, and was cutting everyone off without signaling. He gets stuck behind a slower vehicle while the speed of traffic picks back up. So eventually I'm in the right lane with my front bumper adjacent to his back door. He starts to veer into my lane, and I see his tires cross the line. So, instinctively, I honked and flashed my brights as a defensive driving manner because I couldn't slow down, speed up, or move in the right lane. This police officer didn't like that. He proceeded to follow me, and pulled me over for speeding. I tried to be polite, but he was screaming and yelling at me, and didn't want to listen to me. I am almost certain that I wasn't speeding, and wish that I had a dash cam to capture it on. His yelling caused me to argue back after he gave me the citation, and he didn't want anything to do with me still. Unfortunately, I can't afford to miss a day of work and head to the traffic court about 45 minutes away and give the officer the opportunity for 4 hours of overtime. I decided that I want to pay $200 to "expunge" or erase this ticket like it never happened. No points. No insurance premium hikes. No worries. My boss of course has to always make jokes about it, but that will be all that I have to deal with. 😛
I'm sorry that this thread has appeared a lot (seriously, a lot) longer that you and I had both imagined. Any bit of money helps, even if it's just $1. If you have anything that needs done, such as setting up a new website, or you need content on your site, or if you are interested in my signature space or buying my FP$, please let me know what you have in mind.
Thank you a lot for your time! :great:
