Cussing?

I don't mind as long as its not overly rude or out of control. Honestly the only place they really do at all is in role plays.

I am making my first forum. I am not going to allow cussing on my forum. I think that will just lead to problems. We hear enough of cussing in real life.

The more you censor someone, the less active members you will have. I'd leave the 1st amendment alone. If you don't like dealing with language than running a forum probably isn't for you. People are going to say what they want no matter if you have a rule for it or not.

I don't mind cussing, now if it gets out of hand I'll step in and say something. I have a bad habit of cussing on my own forum, so I don't have a huge issue with it. :V

I really don't f***ing give a s*** if people want to cuss their f***ing a**es out on any of my f***ing forums. Free speech is f***ing free speech. I'd never act like a little b**** on censoring or editing out a single f***ing post because of some s***ty word. As long as people don't f***ing s*** on each other for having f***ing opinions, then it's not a f***ing problem.

The only f***ing way to raise a mature f***ing forum is to not act like a f***ing babysitter to your f***ing members. Deal with the s***ty trolls or f***ing spammers, you know?

Personally, so long as a user is not disrespecting a person, race, or religion with obscenity, the swearing doesn't really bother me. I typically don't mind the swearing so long as it's used in "proper" context and not directed at someone. I'm pretty lax on swearing.

I really don't have too much of issues with it unless it becomes an issue when you are using it to demean someone or a group of people. An F bomb or throwing out a Word that rhymes with witch, I am guilty of myself lol.

I would agree that it's a site-by-site thing, it just doesn't fit with some.

Personally our forum is a hockey sim league and we don't censor virtually anything, has never caused us any problems.

Personally, I don't mind cussing, unless it's unnecessary AND excessive.
