Yeah, I do. Its really stupid though and I need to get a new one seeing as ive got a new site now. Im thinking of putting up a joke or a funny picture considering its a joke site...yeah thats a good idea. *Runs off to think of something funny*

I don't really see the need in having a custom 403 / 404 page, as most of the time I try for my guests not to see those pages ~lol~

I use a custom 404, that auto redirects to the homepage. This is basically for SEO purposes.

It was for a joke though and it was when I just used that hosting purely for personal storage and testing things.

Is there a way to set them up so that if it doesn't exist it goes right to the home page? I was thinking of setting this up in case if I had a few dead links or something like that.

In the cPanel you should have something called error pages.

That is how I edited it.

Same with me, thats how it is with Blue Host. I always like to see the ones that have spent time making custom images and such with witty lines of text on them. I saw one with a plummer once that read "Trust us, we looked everywhere." -lol-

I've got a custom 404 page, but not 403 yet.

Elochai, this code should do the trick. Paste is in your htaccess file, and upload to server:

ErrorDocument 404 http://yoursitehere.com

Replace "yoursitehere.com" with your main url.

Yes, I have one for any common known error for vbulletin and such... So it tells me and my server right what happened, And it gives tips upon telling the users how to avoid the error.

So basically its a hint and tip kinda 403 for any common error known to vbulletin.

You mean you like to keep plaenty of logs lol. Dont blame you though, always good to know too much than not enough when it comes to websites with today's security.

Yea i do have Custom 404 & 403 and 500 .... and other Custom error pages... for my website and forum 😀
