Custom banned page?

If you run a good forum you shouldnt insult people you ban with stupid images, you should maintain a level of professionalism and leave the banned with a normal ban page that includes a non-insulting detailed description of why they are no longer welcome at your forum instead of having a poorly drawn immature drawing that could possibly start issues that could have been avoided.

Well I suppose it depends on what you mean by "good" forum. Theres a difference between a graphics forum, and a humor forum. Seeing as its a good idea to carry your theme throughout your site, its only assumed that the banned page and such carry that theme. Detailed? Where have you been man. If the member gets banned, they arnt going to want to read some boring paragraph. Atleast this way they go out laughing.

Now onto the "poorly drawn" part. What the hell. Honestly, what ARE you on? Thats one of the best images ive ever seen, and seeing as almost everyone that has posted here has said nothing but good about it, I dont see why you couldnt have just bit your tounge, if you really dont like it. I could say plently of crap about your site, why do you think im not active there eh? I stick to FP because atleast they...nvm. Ya know what, whatever. Fighting with you is pointless.

Didnt you gusy call me an idiot when I turned my site offline for a day? And what happened then eh? A record number of signups and activtiy, thats what. You think you know how to run a forum, and maybe you do, but I do as well. Simply because our methods conflict doesnt mean someone is wrong. Thats whats wrong with YOUR generation. You think were just kids and teenagers that dont know crap. Truth is, we think differently. I have methods others call crap, yet they work just as well, if not BETTER than other "normal" methods.

God I hate people who think they know whats best when they dont, ticks me off.

ANYWAY, thank you for your feedback on the image theezy, although your thoughts dont matter much.

Any more feedback, or can anyone answer my original question regarding how to ban from a sub directory?

Make a new text file
Paste this:

<Limit GET POST>
order allow,deny
deny from 1.2.3.4
deny from 12.35.84.03
deny from (IP HERE)
allow from all
</Limit>
ErrorDocument 403 /banned.html

Save as .htaccess (no extension)

Upload to desired directory you want to ban IPs from

Upload your banned page, named banned.html to the ROOT of your website

Thats whats wrong with YOUR generation. You think were just kids and teenagers that dont know crap.

A lot of us would find that remark offensive. I know several individuals on this board who are from "that generation"...Subz..UNIQUERIDEZ...Travis...Myself..

Anyway...going to close this topic because well...it really doesn't need to be open. Spyka has answered your query. Oh and just throwing my my 2c, I agree with the others, it's a pretty poorly drawn picture and would be the last thing i'd want to see if I was banned.
