Hello all 👋

I've just launched a new plugin of mine; Dark Mode 2 which is a WordPress plugin that lets you turn the dashboard into a much nicer, darker design. I've kind of done a bit of a soft launch but I'm trying to get some exposure for it as WordPress plugins are notorious for being hard to market!

Please let me know what you think!

Ohh nice, good idea. Going to support for front end also for any theme in that matter at some point?

Looks great. I'd be curious to see more screenshots before purchasing the plugin, especially at that price. How does this skin react to the Block Editor?

I'll look into supporting certain themes, but not blanket support as I'd then have to properly every theme ever 😂

I've done a large update to the plugin website now which includes more images and a nicer overall page!

I currently don't support the block editor - but I will. It's a work in progress as it's so complex. Support will be coming soon.

How many people using it so far 🙂

The site looks really slick, nice update! If I may, why did you choose to leave the TinyMCE editor and text fields unstyled? I think those would look pretty neat in a dark version, and from the screenshots they kind of clash with the rest of the dark design.

I understand, the new editor causes extra work in my own products and it can be really infuriating to work with—especially when it changes in every new version!

The reason the editor areas are not styled is because themes that make use of them editor styles would cause conflicts so it's safer to not include styling for those areas, however it is something I'll look into for compatibility.
