Database Error - HELP!

I just moved hosts, so i downloaded the home directory and the mySQL database and uploaded it to the new host, and i get a database error

Error establishing a database connection

did i miss a step?

what do i do?

help!

I am guessing the issue was that you didn't change the config file and enter the new database information?

Yaa, you must have not edited your config.php with your new database name and user.

well thats what i thought it was... but i fixed that and i now have a different problem.

You need to edit your settings file as well if you have one.

Mostly database settings are stored in Config.php only. And he is using wordpress, which only stores database info in wp-config.php
