Do you ever run into situations on your forum where you have to deal with the grammer police or those people who feel it necessary to correct others on little imperfections in speech? Is this just another form of trolling or are these people really interested in keeping the forum neat and tidy and free of errors?
Sometimes people correct others' grammatical mistake for fun, as a joke, and I'm fine with that. While I do feel slightly uncomfortable if someone's grammar is wrong, it's not like we can't talk with them. Perhaps staff member can remind someone about the grammar if it's too confusing. Maybe. But in a friendly manner, of course.
I am fine with it when it is not really too much. I understand it can just be a joke or a simple point meant with no harm. I think that communities need to learn to cope with this sort of thing and develop the correct atmosphere itself so that we can really grow and expand with no worries. However if it gets picky and offensive then I will of course, step in.
*grammar* police. I'm sorry, you just made it too easy for me 😉 haha, just kidding, but yeah it does annoy me, a lot of people tend to do it when they can't think of something proper to say in an argument.
