How do you decide which color schemes and fonts you want for your site? Do you purposely take the time to brand your site from the start with specific colors and fonts? Or do you wing it and hope it all comes around in the end?

Using Proboards, we have a Library we can download for those who are not arty. I tend to pick something that I like but that I also think others would too. Not too "loud". Easy on the eyes, etc.

It depends on what i am making i usually have a habit of staying with blue color schemes in the past but i do these days venture out and work with other colors and ideas. it all starts on a blank design canvas for me and see what pops as i make it. When it comes to fonts same with the colors if its easy on the eye and works well i run with it
so for me i kind of think i wing it until somthing really good comes out as the final design idea.

If it's corporate those design decisions are already made for me but if it's a more personal site I tend to eyeball colour swatches using a palette generator. I also tend to focus more on logo and favicon design than fonts.
