I do this all of the time (on many other forums) instead of just bumping my thread. Once I make a post and no one hasn't replied to it after several hours, I just delete it, and post it back again to get it back in the top posts. I do this on the ForuMotion support forum, and if my post doesn't get a reply the first time, I just delete it and re-post it, and then I get users back to my post.
I'm not saying you should do this on Forum Promotion, because it might be added to the Official Board-Wide Rules soon, but I'm not saying that you can doing that on other forums besides double-posting. It's a great way to get noticed if you ask me... and I do have to admit I've done it about 500 times (literally) on ForuMotion's support forum (when I was just a member; no staff member) and I never got caught.
