Since the pandemic, more Americans are receiving their favorite foods delivered from Uber Eats. However, it turns out that a growing number of restaurants are using "ghost kitchens." To find out, Inside Edition ordered a sub from Jersey Mike’s. When Inside Edition showed up at the address on the Uber Eats receipt, the restaurant was named Kitchen United. Kitchen United tells us the sub we ordered was prepared by Jersey Mike's staff. They say they offered that restaurant, and others, kitchen space to help them operate at lower costs.

I never order food to have delivered. We always go pick it up, but if I did have to order, I probably wouldn't be concerned unless I had some severe food allergies that I knew only some chains would be careful with, instead of some kitchen where cross contamination could happen.

This is crazy, the food service company I work for introduced this back during covid. At the university we were at, we turned one of our retail kitchens into a ghost kitchen for students. We did the following out of the kitchen.
