Dell unveils 'world's thinnest laptop'

I think these thin laptops are neat, but I doubt I'd ever buy one. It seems you pay tons of cash for not enough power. I'd rather just deal with the extra weight. ~razz~
That's just me though, I can understand in some circumstances people might really want these.

What's the point? Thousands of pounds for a laptop just because it is 'thin'

just get a cheap eeepc or windows laptop for £200 and get on with it

I agree.

Although it is nice, there is no point in paying that much money just because it is thin.

It is good but why do you really need a really thin laptop? Cheap Laptops are pretty thin anyway so it is pointless paying 5 times as much for something even thinner even though as normal laptop is thin enough (and light enough) to carry around.

Yup, I will be looking for a new laptop, mine is dying slowly and it's not even 5 months old (trust me never to get a cheap one again!), I for one will most certainly get a good laptop for the price, not just because it is small and thin.

I got my Dell, still pretty thin...for $700 canadian. If I just sheds off about 1 inch and adds $1300, no way. I'll stick with the good ol' Inspiron 1525.
Now to just make it stop shutting down...
