Derby just beat Manure 1-0 in the first leg of the semi final carling cup match. Manure will still beat them in the next leg at Old Trafford but it's still a good win and shows how they have progressed in the last year.

Me and ste were celebrating this on msn just now!

~biggrin~

Yes I watched it and they deserved the win IMO.

Who cares if they deserved it?, It could of been a last second goal and Man u were battering them all before that and i wouldnt care ~lol~

I wouldn't say Man U were battering them... I can't remember Carroll having to make one decent save and I wouldn't say the pressure Man U were applying was that big :|

You misunderstood me >.<, i was saying that i wouldnt care who deserved it the most, as long as the person who was playing Man U won ~lol~

So, are Man U out of this cup now? -?-

Even Norwich beat ManU

No, they aren't out. There is still the 2nd leg to play at Old Trafford which Manure will win.

I watched the highlights of this on ITV last night, and Derby looked the better team by far. I definitely think it was a mistake for Ferguson to leave most of United's 'Big Names' on the bench for the majority of the match.

Did anyone see Ronaldo's free kicks in the second half? His first was absolutely stunning, less than an inch wide. I think the Old Trafford fixture will be a great game too as Derby will be playing with confidence and United will be playing catch up.

Can't wait ~smile~

Derby will probably sit back and defend in the next leg, it is as shame it is two legs though instead of one.

Sure is 🙁 But if it were 1 leg I'm sure Ronaldo and co would have been on a lot sooner.
