The banner is very very light.
The border on the banner doesn't help.

Instead of plain teal, use a gradient?

I would second what Yehya has said - add a gradient. Not a very huge "range" for the gradient, but it would work better then a plain background.

I would suggest maybe using CSS to style the input boxes to match the site a bit more - if you are going for a "simple" feel.

The logo/banner is to bright - I hardly even noticed it until Yehya said something about it, and I looked for it. It would be best if you made a darker / more noticeable one.

The logo is all that I think needs work, just make it pop and stand out more. I like the simple interface.

I used IE8 and I think your alyout needs attention first as header and footer are center aligned but the form is left aligned.
