Hey,

I have coded a forum For A Tech forum that I should be launching in its beta stages soon, Only issue is Im not good in Designing Wondering if someone could create a css design for a custom coded forum?

I am willing to pay in FPs of 500-600?

Thanks,

Mr.Shy2012

Could you not use a free design? There are some around that may suit.... 🙂

Aslong as there not to expensive I may be able to pay If you can please link me to them and I will try to buy the best one that will suit the forum.

You have coded a custom forum software correct?

That means that you can't just take a theme from another forum software and it will work on yours. You haven't described the template setup, how does someone make a theme for a forum software they have never even seen?

Yes I know since its custom everything needs to be done from scratch.
If you need to see what it looks like it currently has no design which Im working on obvouisly.

What I need todo is implent a template system or style.
@Terry Harvey Boot Strap looks Ok, would they offer there own designs that works with the Frame Work?

Hope this helps.

Bootstrap is a base for you to let your creativity flow with, you should create your own designs then code them using bootstrap 🙂

To be honest No I onky have basic CSS knowledge Im mainly good at server side scripting and some client side.

But Boot Strap might help out abit more 🙂

I can't judge by just looking. Have you even built a templating system?

It won't have a template system as it's a basic forum software. It would need a CSS stylesheet basically with all the usual forum things (table styling, fonts, text types, buttons etc.). Then Spudster would need to update his HTML to include the correct classes and div ids.

What is the point of a software that only has one theme? It becomes very undynamic

Im only using the software to host a tech forum communnity Later on if I choose to make the software publc I will then add A template system.

Why build your own letterbox when you can afford to buy a better made one? As Spudster has said - this is for his tech forum only... A person did something similar a year or so back- they made an admin forum in order to test their custom software.

@Spudster - I would advise you to look over the spelling and grammer on the forum software. Anything unprofessional and people won't signup. 😉

If this is one site only, which he is obviously wanting to make as unique as possible then why offer next to nothing for the design? Technically he is asking for a completely custom, one off design, not something I know any designer would do. Had it been doing a default design for a software he is going to release I may have felt differently due to the distribution.

Well- exactly. Which is why I suggested an already made template. 🙂
