Have you ever made your own, from a template or scratch?

I prefer to make my own. That way, if there are flaws or issues I can blame myself instead of the creators. Plus, I like different projects to look and act certain ways. Then, it also gives me something to do when I'm bored!

All I ever have done in the past is come up with a basic template on Photoshop. I don't have the skill to code it or otherwise I would have. I would love to have my own one day though.

I just designed a few simple symbols to represent my websites, the design of individual interfaces is beyond my ability, I'd love to have more experience in this field, everybody can tell me the names of a few forums or blogs about interface design my forum?
