Still the load time is not bad. 5.5 seconds is acceptable. Biggest issue would be activity. 2 posts in 2 days is a problem.
Then he needs to work on SEO, rank it up, index

I'm sure he has decent SEO with those domains. The issue is all those members and no activity. He already has the members.

That's why you're negative about activity? Bruh, it's JANUARY. Of course activity seems bare! *facepalm* Dude, you need more common sense. January is usually a down month. It's not until March when gaming news are alive and kicking. Till then, I'm going to use the downtime to get errors, feedback out of the way. Then I can start looking at marketing, or SEO, like this guy alludes to...
And he's right. I've been trying to push indexing for 2 years now, but still a long ways off. Google is very slow at indexing sites.
Also, it's worth noting that XF2 sites are experiencing some indexing issues at the moment.

It's possible the indexing is slowing you down and I'm truly sorry to hear that. Sorry to say but that was a lot of excuses based on questionable information.
So January is when you average 2 posts a day? I've never seen that on any other forum? So is summer when forums pick up? Everyone on vacation and off to the beach? I would think it would be in the fall/winter when forums have activity. Why do you think that's why all the programming on TV comes out in the Fall/Winter?
I used to run a gaming site and in January I'd average 300-800 posts a day. There's people on this board that can vouch for that. Typically the spring is not very active. It's usually the fall when games are coming out, christmas coming up, etc.
I'm not trying to attack you or your site. Just suggesting a different approach when it comes to the community. 14k+ members from merging/database/seo/referral/whatever and none of them have posted today.

I'm not even going to entertain this sarcasm. I run a popular Call of Duty Forum, and it's getting the same treatment. People are probably doing something else at the moment; why do you think there's less, and less gaming news right now? It's because, IT'S JANUARY. I see some game news, but they're little gaming news that don't get that kind of heat. It's usually spring when things heat up. It's when reveals are likely. It's usually when gaming news get ramped up in preparation for E3. I should know, because I've been doing this since 2006. My writing goes all the way back to - 2001.

I say spring is a little better with regards to activity because of the reveals, the leaks, the quarterly calls, the works. And one thing we agree on is fall/early winter because of games coming out, and christmas coming up. That's where we agree.

Having all that mount of members means nothing as long as you have those members that are nice, supported and active. End of the day what most owners wants is an very good nice community, like an family
I agree. I bought PSVitaForum exactly for that reason. When I bought it, controversy ensued, and eventually, it calmed down, but everyone magically left. It's like everyone conspired with each other to move to another site. I'm not worried, though. Once they realize they did all that commotion for no reason, I have faith they'll be back. I'm actually a nice person, and everyone was wrong.
I have a dream, but to get there... I had to do something. A redesign. It's done. All I need to do is market the site.

Yeah, the difference between a CLAN forum and a niche focused Gaming Forum is that one site has to do clan recruitments, the other is treated more of a discussion site, a news site, than clan recruitments.
