Hello,

I check my website and see today was downtime 2hour, How i can check why this happend ? I use CentOS 6.6 (64bits)

Thanks.

Not sure about server downtime monitoring, but for my website I use the free version of Pingdom (https://www.pingdom.com) although they have a paid version as well. It emails you any time your site is down, and when back up with how long your site was done and server response times.

I agree you can use something such as Pingdom (their free plan) which works very well, or you can always try to run a local software that keeps checking on the services and finds the route cause (not sure there is any free versions of this type of software since their mostly ran for enterprise usage).

You'll probably have to contact your host. It could be any number of issues and most monitoring services won't be able to tell you exactly what caused it.

Pingdom only monitors uptime and it cannot monitor the cause of the downtime. You will probably need to check server logs or ask your host to look into it. Server and error logs are probably a good place to look at.

You get what you pay for. My company is using a boutique sized hosting company and thay manage your files above and beyond the norm.

You should not have to monitor your server status unless you opt for an unmanaged dedicated server.
