Does anyone else here have diabetes?

I’ve just started using the CareSens Air, which is a CGMS (continuous glucose monitoring system). It’s a small sensor worn on your arm that continuously tracks your glucose levels and sends the readings to an app, rather than needing to prick your finger all the time.

It’s definitely helping me because I have a serious needle phobia, so finger-prick testing causes a lot of anxiety. Being able to see my blood sugars throughout the day without constantly doing that is a huge relief.

I do already have some complications from diabetes, but I’m hoping this will help me better manage things and improve over time.

I got some Hypafix overpatches for the Caresens Air CGMS and this is the one I've got on.

My hubby has diabetes. Since I'm the one that normally cooks, I end up cooking meals that he can eat with his diabetes. I just eat the same things that I fix for my hubby and I don't mind......I've gotten use to it. Plus, it would take up too much time to cook 2 separate things and cost too much money purchasing double the groceries. Groceries are high enough as it is....

I have had type 1 diabetes since I was 3 years old. I just started using CGMs about 2 years ago and absolutely love how it's helped me maintain even better blood sugars than I was able to before. Figuring out what foods affect me in different ways is something that they've helped me a lot with too. I don't feel like I can't do anything with diabetes that anyone else can, but sometimes I just need to take a break and eat a snack first. 😉
