In Rochester, Minnesota, an image and caption of the Diablo 3 end cap at a Best Buy was posted to Twitter. It was removed from Twitter but Joystiq had managed to “snag” the image.

They had sent someone down there to confirm the existence of the end cap Diablo 3 countdown timer, in which it was positive. Joystiq had talked to a Best Buy employee to confirm the release date of February 1, in which the employee complied with acknowledging the release date of February 1. To make it even better, the Best Buy website has the release date of February 1 already up!

The rest is here on my blog: http://joenowasell.com/diablo-3-release-date-confirmed/

-- 08 Jan 2012, 19:33 --

This was actually said to be false. Check out my latest post for info on it.

Fake? How unfair. Honestly, I'm getting sick of Blizzard and they're "It's coming, It's coming, slow your horses!".

Unfourtunely for them(and me) I doubt I can free up the money anytime in the near future to buy their new game. Way to go, blizzard.

Oh, did you here there is going to be a 'Real World' auction house, apparently?

That means the richy riches of the real world can use their riches to be the best players in the game.

No way!?!?! I need to get in it!

I probably didn't because of my specs..I am getting a new card and psu though 🙁 NOOO 🙁 I am so sad.

It has nothing to do with your specs. They are selecting testers with uber computers and terrible computers, they want the game to run smoothly on all systems.

No it has some to do with specs.

"How are beta test participants selected from the opt-in pool?
Beta testers are chosen according to their system specifications and other factors, including an element of luck. Our goal is to have a good variety of system types to best test compatibility."

I suppose "variety"..but still. If you have better specs you have a better chance.

No, I know of lot's of poeple that are getting in the beta because they have bad specs. And the game runs great for them, that's Blizzards goal is to make it run on all systems so you just have to get lucky.

And what they mean by that, is during one wave they will select good rigs for testing, in another wave they will balance that by selecting bad rigs.
