Diamond Art

My daughter bought me some diamond art kits for Mother's Day. I've never done any before and I wonder if I have the patience?? Has anyone done any? What tips do you have for a beginner?

I was just about to make a thread about this and saw yours!! This is my new hobby! I got a kit off of Amazon that already comes on canvas. My only issue is that I’m going to have to buy more containers for my gems. I’ve seen a lot of people putting all of their gems in a jar whenever they finish a project but I think I’m going to keep all mine in little baggies just in case I need them in the future for another painting and then I’ll just add them to the new ones to clear up space. When I first got my kit, I made the mistake of sitting the containers on top of the couch and they spilled out into the floor and now I’m worried I won’t have enough to finish these last two canvases. I tried to sweep most of them up but not sure if it was enough. Guess I’ll find out. I’m for sure going to have to buy more containers because I hate the plastic baggies. It’s easier and quicker to pour and put back the gems from the containers instead of the bags.

What I do is that I use the greyscale pictures so that I would need a grey one, black one, white one and a few colors in between them.

For a start, of course 😀

Later, one could diversify into new colors 😀

I asked AI to create a chart for a Halloween scene and it failed a couple of times, but then got it right. I might try doing it, but need to figure out what kind of glue to use.
