With my last iOS jailbreak forum (was 100x bigger than my current one) activity generally spiked when a new iOS version was released then gradually died down until another iOS version was released. My members became disinterested until the new version came out.

That happens to us once in a while, no? At least it did to me and my forum back then. Even to myself. Saddening, but not much I can do about it since people do get busier over time. The key is to try bring in new members who are still 'fresh' and free to 'replace' such kind of old members. It doesn't mean we kick old members, but because activity is a cycle.
