Hi Friends

What is the difference between Keyword and Tag?

Please share your opinion.

Meta Keywords are worthless. There's absolutely no benefit. The only purpose behind them was to signal search engines the content of a page....and that was two decades ago.

Tags can help people who are visually impaired. Tagging a photo using ALT is a huge accessibility bonus, and tags can also be used to help certain screen readers pick out important info (think dates, times, locations). Search engines may also use tagged content to create pretty formatting within result pages. For example, when you search for a restaurant if they have their business hours tagged correctly those business hours may be shown on the search results page (I think Google Now may be able to answer questions about business hours).

Different websites have different "tagging" systems. These are labels you give your posts, short phrases such as "product review" and "cameras" and "digital cameras" and "Pentax."

Keywords: A Search Engine's Way of Classifying Webpages

Search engines see the web in terms of keywords, the words and phrases their users type in to look for things on the web. Search engines match these searches up to the keywords under which they have filed each webpages.

Keyword is generally a search term that helps people find your webpage in search engines. It is the one with which a website is ranked in search engines. Tagging is just describing your product or page with terms by which you can recognize the thing.

Keywords can be in meta tags, keywords are search terms the page is geared towards. They are the keystone of the page if you will.

Keywords are the asset of a website that helps to improve ranking in search engines.
